PORT
Providing Opportunities in Recovery for Teens

 

A Program funded by the Dept. of Public Safety/Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, Gaston County and presented by Freedom House Substance Use Services
 
PORT is a program for youth referred for substance use screening, assessment/evaluation by Gaston County Juvenile Services.

PORT is a community based intervention/counseling service for youth involved with juvenile services.

 
PORT Provides:
  • Assistance to youth and their families in completing the conditions of probation.
  • Provides the substance use assessment/evaluation and urinalysis.
  • Provides the recommended interventions/treatment.
  • Provides referral, linking and monitoring of the course of treatment.
  • Liaison with the probation officer to keep the court informed of youth progress in treatment.
  • Provides updates to judges/courts when needed.
